We've heard there are at least 41 hotels within five miles of the show hall!

 

We aren't sure which ones are better than others.  But here is some general information:

 

The closest hotel is probably the "Graduate by Hilton" at 1706 Cumberland Avenue, behind the McDonalds restaurant between 17th and 18th streets.  This is approximately one mile from the show hall.  (However, its description sounds awfully expensive!)

 

There are several large hotels in downtown Knoxville, approximately 3 miles away.

 

On I-40/I-75 west of downtown, and on I-75 north of downtown, there are hotels 5 to 15 miles away.

 

Popular exits on I-40/75 are:  Exit 383 (Papermill Rd),  Exit 378 (Cedar Bluff Rd),  Exit 374 (Lovell Rd). 

 

Popular exits on I-75 are:  Exit 108 (Merchant Dr),  Exit 112 (Emory Rd).

 

Of these, Papermill Rd and Merchant Dr are the closest.  (The show hall is typically reached by using Exit 386.)

 

Unfortunately most hotels want a firm commitment of at least 15 rooms before agreeing to offer a discounted rate for rooms.  This is why BOB has never had a "chosen" hotel.
